
The Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County, Inc. (DRC-MC) is excited to announce the 2026 Conflict Resolution Bookmark Art Contest! This annual contest invites talented young artists to create bookmarks that promote peaceful conflict resolution and bullying prevention practices.

- Entry Deadline: March 9, 2026 by 5 p.m.
- Judging: March 24, 2026
- Winners Announced: April 9, 2026 at www.resolution-center.org
- Awards Ceremony: April 2026 (Will be Announced in February 2026)
How to Participate:
Create a Bookmark: Design a bookmark that creatively expresses the theme of peaceful conflict resolution or bullying prevention using the 3”x 9” template attached with this e-mail!
Submit Your Entry: Entries can be mailed or delivered to: Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County, Inc., 301 N. Thompson St., Suite 106, Conroe, TX 77301. Entries may also be delivered to the Children’s Section of any branch of the Montgomery County Memorial Library System. All entries must be received by 5:00 p.m. on March 9, 2026.
Awards and Recognition:
Winning bookmarks will be featured on the DRC-MC website and displayed at the Montgomery County Memorial Library branches. One winning bookmark from each grade will be reproduced for distribution across Montgomery County.
Winning artists will receive monetary prizes and teachers of winning artists will have a bullying prevention book donated to their school in their honor.

The Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County, Inc. (DRC-MC) seeks entries for its 2026 Conflict Resolution Bookmark Art Contest. The contest is open to all Montgomery County students in grades K through eighth.
Categories:
- Level 1 – Kindergarten through Second Grade
- Level 2 – Third through Fifth Grade
- Level 3 – Sixth through Eighth Grade
To Enter:
Submit original artwork drawn on the bookmark size template available on our website or on a 8½” x 11” sheet of paper with the image size being 3” high by 9” wide. Please be sure that the student’s name, age and grade, school or program name, teacher’s name and address, written legibly, are included ON THE BACK of the bookmark entry. Please DO NOT FOLD BOOKMARK. Limit to two entries per student.
Theme:
Bookmark art must reflect a conflict resolution or prevention theme, such as peer mediation, talking things out, apologizing, respecting differences, solving problems together, listening, tolerance, peace building, or alternatives to violence.

All original artwork must be received before 5:00 p.m. on March 9, 2026. Faxed or emailed bookmarks will not be accepted.
Awards:
An awards ceremony will be held in late April 2026. Judge Kathleen Hamilton will present awards to the winners. Winning bookmarks will also be displayed at the Montgomery County Memorial Library System, Central Branch.

Submitted bookmark art becomes the property of the DRC-MC. The DRC-MC reserves the right to use copies of any art submitted in contest publicity or for any future public awareness promotions.

About This Contest
Each year, Montgomery County students in grades K-8 have the opportunity to create bookmarks that promote bullying prevention messages and community peacebuilding. Bookmark art must reflect peaceful conflict resolution or prevention themes, such as peer mediation, talking things out, apologizing, respecting differences, solving problems together, listening, tolerance, peacebuilding, or alternatives to violence.
Winning designs are eligible for cash prizes! Plus, the judges select some of the prize winning bookmarks to be printed and distributed to the public.
