The DRC-MC provides affordable mediation services thanks to skilled volunteers and professional staff. All DRC-MC mediators must meet the statutory guidelines for court appointed mediators as well as the DRC-MC’s training requirements.

If you prefer to mediate inside your own agency, school or company, the DRC-MC offers mediation training programs which can provide invaluable conflict resolution skill building techniques including:Peer Mediation Training for Students Grades 4-12
The DRC-MC, in partnership with the Peer Mediation Team of the Association for Conflict Resolution-Houston (ARCH), provides Peer Mediation Training for students in grades 4-12 and will assist local schools and organizations to set up ongoing Peer Mediation programs. No prior mediation experience is required to participate in the DRC-MC and ACRH Peer Mediation Training programs. Students learn valuable conflict resolution skills that can help them peacefully resolve disputes between their peers.
Mediation Skills for Law Enforcement
The DRC-MC can also train law enforcement agencies wishing to improve community communication and de-escalate conflict through the use of mediation skills on a daily basis. In addition, training officers can become mediators by participating in the DRC-MC general mediation training programs.
Custom Designed Dispute Resolution Training Programs for Individuals, Businesses and Agencies
Schools, non-profits, governmental or business entities seeking to improve communication or train their students, volunteers or staff on conflict resolution skills can reach out to the DRC-MC for custom training programs. The Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) and Continuing Education Units (CEU) credits available with these training sessions can go a long way to getting staff and volunteer certifications, along with keeping training requirements up to date and addressing student’s Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) needs.
